The Brownston Hostel - Wanaka

I had a great stay! The location is fab - just a 5-minute stroll to the supermarket and bus stops, which made exploring super easy. The common area is spacious and comfy, with decent Wi-Fi and a full kitchen that I loved using. Plus, the place was spotless and had warm blankets for those chilly nights!

The ensuite bathroom felt cramped, making it a bit tricky to navigate. I really missed having heating in the room; it got quite cold. Lastly, the sound insulation isn't great, so I was often disturbed by doors slamming at night.

The central location made it easy to walk around and enjoy the town. I loved having ample space to cook and store my food, plus the cozy communal area was perfect for socializing after a day out. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there were plenty of showers and toilets available, so I never faced any wait times. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience.

I totally recommend this hotel.

The superb location near the supermarket and a short walk to Wanaka Lake made it family-friendly. The massive, clean kitchen provided ample cooking and dining space, and the relaxed common areas were perfect for unwinding after exploring nearby landmarks like Puzzling World and That Wanaka Tree. Friendly staff added to the experience, making our few days enjoyable.

We had a lovely stay at the brownston, where everything was neat and tidy. the rooms were spacious with comfy beds and bedding, making it easy to relax after our adventures. we particularly enjoyed the various chill-out areas, including a cozy room for movie watching. the kitchen and dining space were also well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals with ease. the staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our late checkout request after a long hike, which we appreciated.

The room was even better in person than in the photos. the view from the balcony was breathtaking. DEFINITELY coming back! .

My room had a small ensuite and just a bed. I wished there was a TV or more furniture. The hostel's location was great; walking distance to the supermarket. I'll recommend this hotel.
